This year's deadline will be 29 August 2024, to allow trusts the opportunity to factor any post-election announcements into their return.

Academy Trust Handbook

Due to the election announcement, the publication of the handbook will be delayed until after the election. Any updates to the handbook will require ministerial approval, and as with the BFR, the ESFA will provide an update as soon as possible.

Academy trust funding

During the pre-election period, the ESFA will continue to deliver most of its operational activities as normal but will pause on communicating anything new or novel and on most of its external engagement activities.
